Stefani Peter is a versatile multidisciplinary artist known for her captivating works in watercolour and mixed media.
Her artistic journey commenced after successfully completing her Art Education Studies at the University of Erlangen Nürnberg, Germany.
With a natural talent for draftsmanship, she initially gained recognition for her intricate pen drawings and etchings.

In 1987, Stefani Peter expanded her artistic repertoire by incorporating oil and monotype techniques into her paintings and paper-based creations. Simultaneously, she embarked on the creation of artist books and book objects, often crafting her own literary accompaniments for these unique pieces.
Her dedication to the art form was rewarded in 1992 when she received the Emerging Artist’s Fine Arts Grant from her hometown of Erlangen, Germany. This marked a pivotal moment in her career. Another significant accolade came in the form of the Special Award of the Lucas Cranach Award, bestowed upon her also in 1992, further solidifying her position in the art world.

Stefani Peter’s artistic evolution continued with the inception of her iconic series, “Ups and Downs of the Days,” which comprised approximately 650 concertina-style folded paper objects. This innovative body of work was initiated in 1993 and remains a testament to her creative ingenuity.

In 1994, Stefani’s talent transcended borders when she was invited to participate in an exhibition in São Paulo, Brazil. This exhibition was organized by the  German non-profit art society, PONTE CULTURA e.V., to which she has maintained her affiliation to this day.
Her international recognition continued to flourish when, in 2001, she was invited to serve as a Visiting Artist at the Malaspina Printer Society in Vancouver, BC, Canada. This artistic journey led her to become a Permanent Resident of Vancouver in 2003

Stefani Peter’s artistic journey is a testament to her unwavering dedication to creativity, combining innovative with traditional techniques to achieve her visual goals.
